When we create a cover for fiction, we ask to see a summary of your story to get a feel for the book. Sometimes, we request chapters from your manuscript. You've probably experienced reading a book and afterwards realized the cover really didn't fit the story. More than likely, the designer was given a project with limited information… or they just weren't very good.
